Nels Long, Assoc. Principal at RoTo, discusses how they used the game engine Core for Michael Rotondi's Fall 2020 Vertical Studio during a roundtable for the Games for Change Festival :
One of the things we wanted to explore, given the virtual nature of the studio, was for us to break away from the idea that the site, or the found condition be a physical condition. So, we established four base worlds : an earth world, water world, air world, and fire world that we developed as a starting point for our students, and they took it from there.
