| Cliffside House 2004 | Malibu, California |
|
This house was designed as a set of three wooden pavilions for a
gently sloping site above an 85’ bluff overlooking the Pacific
Ocean. They are connected to each other by a bridge and to the
ground by a wide ‘natural’ ramp. There are dramatic views to the
Santa Monica Mountains, Channel Islands and downtown Los Angeles, but
lack of direct beach access and required setbacks limit views to the
beach.
